Pepes Ayam - Steamed Chicken

Ready to be steamed
Finally I got the banana leave! I can use it for cooking, as wrapper only of course, LOL. I got it at Publix, frozen section. Keep it frozen if you don't use it. It will last long. If you wanna use it, thaw for couple of minutes, if it's still can't be folded, put it on the warm stove (flat one) then it will be flexible. Clean it with paper towel before you use.

Preparation :
6 chicken wings *or other parts of chicken. Marinate with salt and lemon juice for about 30 min.
5 mushrooms. Washed n Sliced.
1 lemongrass. Washed n thinned slice.
1 green onion *optional* Chopped
Fresh Lemon basil leaves
2 Bay leaves
6 small green chili peppers *optional

Seasoning :
5-10 red chili peppers
1 inch of ginger
3 candle nut *macadamia nut
1 tsp of turmuric
1 tsp of salt
1 inch of galangal
Ground them. After you finish. Put it in a bowl. Add Bay leaves and several lemon basil leaves. Mix it.

How to make :
After the chicken is marinated in lemon n salt, wash it. Put it in bowl.  Marinate with the ground seasoning for about one hour or more. Put it in refrigerator.
Prepare the banana leave. Cut into 10-15 cm as long as its enough to wrap 1 chicken wing. *I made one by one wrapping*
Put 1 chicken wing with the ground seasoning as well. Add mushrooms, Green onion, Lemon basil leave, 1 small green chili pepper.

Wrap it. On the edge of it, folded it, stitch it with wooden toothpick, to keep it folded. Do it both side.*pic below
