Banana bread is my hubby's fav! Got 2 large blackened bananas on the kitchen counter this morning.
He looked at them and teased me "why don't you invite your friend over for smoothie."
"Well not this cold weather I guess! It's only you who can stand having ice cream and smoothie in this cold season" I said. >_<
I'm gonna make banana bread instead."
You know who's gonna be happy. *_*
I remembered I still have non fat yoghurt in the fridge, so I browsed the recipe for using it. Joyofbaking is good site for making simple yummy recipe.
Too bad my non fat yoghurt was bad already so I used Probiotic diary drink instead, strawberry flavor (93ml) LoL
It turned out well tho!
The bottom part is not wet just like I want!Woohoo.
I should name it "Probiotic dairy whole wheat banana bread" lol

Pisang Molen Goreng
I Love Plantain but not my hubby! Yay I can eat all. >_<
I love plantain since I can make plenty of Indonesian snacks with it! One of them is Molen!
We have two kinds of Molen actually, Baked and Fried. Baked is quite fancy and more expensive. My fav place is in Bandung, West Java.
Once I tried making Baked Molen using pastry. Now I am making fried Molen from the scratch.
Ingredients
1 plantain, choose the one that's ripe, sliced it into 3-4
100 gr flour
40 gr butter, melted
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp of water
Cooking oil for deep frying
How to make
Mix flour, sugar, butter, salt in a bowl. Slowly add water and Knead it into a dough. Take enough dough on your palm. flattened it on big cutting board or clean table.
You can use rolling pin or pasta maker number 3.
I used rolling pin since I only made small amount.
Rolling the pin over the dough till you make long one, maybe 10 cm. Cut it if it's too wide or too long. Make sure you make thin skin so when you fried it, the inside is cooked too.
Take a sliced of plantain. Put it on the edge of the skin you made. Wrapped it by rolling the dough till you meet the other end.
When you rolled the skin, make sure you don't roll over the skin that will make the skin thicker. It won't be good when you fry it. So roll it evenly until the plantain is covered. Do it till all plantain done.
Prepare the pan with cooking oil. Deep fried till it's golden brown. If you make good skin which is thin n evenly wrapped over the plantain, you will have it cooked till the inside.
Set the heat of oil too. Don't over heat it. The skin is easily fried.

Kue Pisang - Nagasari - Steamed banana cake
Another traditional snack from Indonesia! Kue Pisang / Nagasari. I don't use hunkwee flour as mostly people make. Just simple rice flour.
Ingredients
150gr rice flour
700ml coconut milk
1/2 tsp salt
100gr sugar
1 plantain, make sure it's ripe, sliced 1/2 inch
Banana leaves, cut into 5 inch *big enough for wrapping* cut the hard edge so you can flip it easily later once you fold it.
How to
Mix rice flour, sugar, coconut milk, salt in a pot with medium heat. Mix it well, don't stop until it's becoming thick. Cool it down. Let's call it thick batter.
Prepare the steamer and some pieces of banana leaves.
Take a piece of banana leaf, place it on your palm, another hand take one spoon of batter, pour it on banana leaf. Add sliced of banana, take another half spoon of batter, close it by folding left, right, top, bottom side of banana leaf. Fold each corner. Do it till the rest of the batter.

Pisang Goreng-Fried Banana
Pisang Goreng is common snack for Indonesian People. It's easy and Yummy. Eat it in the morning for breakfast or at noon with tea would be great. You only need plantain, sliced in 1-2inch. Put it in the dough paste that is made using all purpose flour, margarine, egg, water, a pinch of salt and sugar. Just mix evenly.
I can give you the measurement for one cup of all purpose flour. 1 cup of all purpose flour, you will need 175 ml of water. 2 tbsp of margarine. 1 egg. 1 tsp of salt. 2 tbsp of sugar or more if you wanna make it sweet. Since the plantain isn't that sweet. Prepare the plantain 2-3 plantains. After you slice the plantain, Put in the dough paste, take one spoon and fry in a deep fried pan would be good.
