Another traditional Indonesian dessert! Putu Mayang.
It's made of rice flour mixed with coconut milk and salt. Adding some tapioca flour, shaped it, color it as you like with food color.
We steam it and served with coconut milk that's been mixed with brown sugar that turned into nice syrup.
To shape into this noodle sort of style, We have special mold. I got it when I was in Indonesia.
The way it works is like potato ricer. Just pressed and the shape of noodle will come out and swirled like this.
Once you have this shape, it's ready to be steamed.
I made this for testing the mold I have actually. It's good and working well.
