Tempe Bacem

Tempe Bacem

Ingredients
2 packs of Tempe,just like in the pic I cut half again, big diced.
Some slices of Galangal roots
Bay leaves
2 knuckles of Tamarind paste
1 big Shallots,3 cloves of Garlic, 3 tbsp of Dark brown palm sugar *add more if it's not sweet enough for you*, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp coconut oil, grind them all into paste.
1 cup of water (coconut water)

Method
Prepare the pan, bring the paste to boil. Add galangal roots, bay leaves, tamarind paste and diced of tempe. Cook till it absorb. Put aside.

Prepare another pan with enough cooking oil to deep fried or just coated pan with little oil so you will have it pan fried, your choice. I like to cook it till I see dark spots almost burnt :-)

Served with Jasmine rice and other food you have. Simple spinach soup will be good.
