Moody light in food photography, did I take the right ones?

This is the story of how I practiced moody light style. 

I always love looking at my friends pics with moody light background but still not sure about mine. I know there is no wrong or right as long as the food looks interesting then it will be fine. But I really wanna learn to be better n better in pics.

Got these samples of mine. Hmm moody enough?
Or too dark...

How about that one?? Arggh really >_< I know props also take part in food photography but I just wanna focus how to play in light first.

Need honest opinion from those who took moody light before. (*_-)
